Bio

Bukunolami Ami, The Yellow Writer, is a multidisciplinary dreamer and nonconformist.

She writes from the fault-lines of faith, identity, and African development, exploring the tension between personal longing and collective responsibility. Her work is both intimate and structural, an excavation of memory, womanhood, nationhood, and the quiet violences we learn to survive.

A writer, poet, and development thinker, she uses storytelling, reflection, and inquiry to question inherited narratives and reimagine education, leadership, and Africa’s place in the world.

This is a home for her thoughts, creative work, and evolving questions, a space where words become both refuge and resistance. The Author of Finding Intimacy, she is becoming, deliberately and honestly, a woman in pursuit of meaning and unafraid of what she might find.
